Located about thirty kilometers south of Marrakech, the Agafay Desert spans several hundred hectares. Although it’s primarily rocky, its landscape can easily be mistaken for a sand desert. In the heart of this vast terrain lies a hidden gem, the “Enchanted Oasis,” a peaceful retreat disturbed only by the occasional passing of sheep herds. Amidst the desert’s rolling hills, which resemble dunes, there are still Berber villages that have managed to thrive in this harsh yet breathtaking environment.

Just on the outskirts of Marrakech, the Agafay Desert offers a surprising contrast to the bustling city. This rocky desert is a perfect escape, allowing you to forget the lively chaos of Marrakech’s center.
